LITTLE MISTER & MISS CONTEST
The contestant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) agree with the
Chautauqua County Fair Board that the contest is for the
sole purpose of extending an opportunity to children to
participate in a fun event while having a good experience.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1.
Contestants must be between the ages of 4 & 6 years of
age by June 1st, 2022 and a legal resident of Chautauqua
County.
2. For
fairness, former 1st place winners may not participate.
3.
Contestants will have cans in Sedan and Cedar Vale and Peru.
One penny equals one vote. Cans will be distributed by the
Fair Board on June 6th and picked up on July 21st. Total
amounts collected per can will not be released nor will
tallies be given during the contest. The child will have a
final opportunity to collect more money during the bean feed
on July 21st at the fairgrounds. All cans must be turned in
to a fair board member by 8:00PM; cans are to be dropped off
at the carnival ride ticket table. This contest shall be
fair for all participants.
4. Under
no circumstances shall contestant’s parents/guardians
contact fair board members, contest chairs, or committee
members. Total amount per can collected on final date is
FINAL.
5.
Please provide a photo of your child. Photo should be head
shot. Photographs will be used for voting cans and
promotional materials for fair. You can email it to
cqcountyfair@yahoo.com.
6.
WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PARADE ON
JULY 23rd. Please have your child in front of the bandstand
by 9:45 a.m.
7. One
Little Mister and one Little Miss shall be awarded. a.
Sashes and crowns will be awarded to first place winners. b.
All contestants will be given prizes donated by sponsors or
purchased by the fair board.
8.
Contestants should plan to ride on a float in the Parade on
July 23rd. Contestants should wear formal or nice dress
clothes for the coronation.
9. The
Little Mister and Miss winners will also be required to show
up at 7:45 p.m. to ride in the grand entry at the Rodeo on
Saturday night.
10.
Entry forms must be returned to cqcountyfair@yahoo.com by
5:00 p.m. on June 1, 2022. If you cannot e-mail the form

11.
Contestant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) and contestants agree
the time, manner, method of judging shall be solely within
the discretion of the Chautauqua County Fair Board.
12. The
boy and girl selected Little Mister and Miss must appear on
behalf of the Fair Board when asked.
13. The
Chautauqua County Fair Board will not be responsible for
loss, injury, or damage to person or property while a
contestant is either on the fairground or at a fair related
function.
14.
Release of liability form must be signed and submitted with
entry.
15. Cans
are the property of the fair board and must be original.
